About Reflexology

Reflexology works on the concept that your body is mapped out on your feet and hands so by applying light pressure to the points on the feet or hands that correspond to those particular areas of the body we can begin to aid the healing within the area to create homeostasis. Reflexology should never be replaced by conventional treatments and medicine and I would suggest seeking advice from your GP in these cases prior to booking a reflexology treatment

Reflexology is a safe, relaxing, holistic approach to encourage the bodys natural healing. It relies on the skill of the practitioner and the healing qualities of the patient.

It is a natural method to enhance health and emotional well being

Within my treatment room I have created a non judgemental space of calm and tranquility. By offering an expert understanding of your needs, the reflexology treatment will offer comfort as part of the whole relaxing and energising experience.

My aim is to bring about a profound sense of calm while using a gentle, accessible, hands on therapy to stimulate enery and circulation in supporting the bodys natural healing and restoring process

This is a deep and relaxing restorative holistic experience involving a thorough and insightful analysis of the reflex points

WHAT TO EXPECT

Standard Reflexology treatments are usually approximately 60 minutes

An initial treatment may be longer as this includes a free medical history consultation

Information included within the consultation may include;

  • Symptoms you would like to address

  • What you would like to achieve from the sessions

  • How your body currently manages itself

These details will allow a tailor made plan to be prepared for your specific needs

Your Reflexology treatment will allow you to be fully clothed except for shoes and socks and it is advisable to wear loose clothing for comfort

Pressure will be applied to your feet and lower legs using fingers and thumbs  (unless you are having alternative reflexology )

Many people become extremely relaxed during the treatment and can often fall asleep

Some people experience different sensations within different parts of their body during a treatment

I always work within the comfort zone of each individual client

Aftercare advice will be discussed once the treatment has ended

Reflexology will never be able to diagnose symptoms, prescribe or claim to cure. It works on an individual basis and each case will be different as it is unknown how your body will respond to reflexology
